Prisvogter has developed its own crawler technology. Following the same basic principles as a search engine, it visits product pages and records information relevant to the agreed monitoring.
Prices are normally collected including VAT. By agreement, data can also be processed excluding VAT or under customer-specific rules.
We record stock availability and can include delivery information, such as 4–6 days, where available on the page.
Prisvogter stores historical observations so you can track price trends, stock changes and other relevant movements over time.
A competitor price is only useful if it belongs to the right product. Prisvogter combines automation, AI-assisted analysis and manual quality assurance to make the data as accurate and actionable as possible.
EANs, MPNs and item numbers are key signals when available and consistent.
Data from comparison sources and other structured product information strengthens matching.
AI can support analysis and suggestions for more complex matches. Uncertain results can be held as recommendations rather than treated as confirmed matches.
For especially high data requirements or difficult product areas, automation is supplemented by extensive manual review.
Data sources are monitored automatically, but quality at scale also requires people. Prisvogter’s specialist data team reviews errors and outages and adapts collection when a store or its structure changes.
Suddenly inactive prices, lower data volumes and pages that no longer exist can indicate a source needs investigation.
We check whether the store has closed, product addresses have changed or the site’s technical structure has been updated.
When necessary, the team updates the specific source and checks that data is entering the system correctly again.
Prisvogter has several technical methods for collecting publicly available product data. A suitable solution can be established in most cases, including technically demanding stores.
Prisvogter does not normally access pages behind a login without agreement. With the necessary permission and relevant credentials, such sources can sometimes be included.
Some websites or setups may temporarily restrict data availability. Options and limitations are assessed individually.
Prices, VAT, stock availability and delivery can be interpreted according to the workflow and rules agreed with the customer.
Prisvogter can normally be configured technically in a few days. We typically prefer to collect and check data for around seven days before delivering the first complete dataset, providing better coverage and more representative comparisons.
Products, competitors, markets and relevant data sources are configured.
Observations are collected, matches checked and any anomalies investigated.
Reporting, integration or pricing management is enabled once the data meets the agreed quality.
Product ranges without usable EANs, MPNs or item numbers may take longer because additional matching methods are required. This is agreed with the customer before delivery.
We focus on your product range, data quality, competitors and desired workflow.
